The 9200 is in a different format than the 9500(Yeah, we knew this). I will look and see if I can find something that will convert it. If I find something, I will check it on my 9500 receiver and see if it works. You can tie up a lot of time and effort in a channel/sat file. It takes about three hours for me to scan all the available satellites. EB

I also would need to change the TitanTV listings to match a new receiver. So why would Pansat constantly change the way the channel list is organized? Did they at least this time, supply a channel list editor?

They changed some things. Here are some of the specs for the 9200 & 9500:
9200 Microprocessor & Memories
Main Processor : ARM926 CPU Clock : 280MIPS Flash Memory : 8 Mbyte SDRAM : 128 Mbyte EEPROM : 32 Kbit
9500 Main CPU & Memories
Main Processor : 32bit RISC CPU CPU Clock : 396MHz MIPS Flash Memory : 4 Mbyte DDR SDRAM : 128 Mbyte
There is not a channel editor available at Pansat's download page but I think I have found a free one that will work correctly with it.

They (Pansat) are supposed to send me the channel editor for the 9500 HDX very soon, they are finishing it up now.

Please post this new 11-8-11 software. I would like to try it!!! The only software I can find for the 9500 is at Panarex. It is dated 8-11-2011 and my receiver was shipped with that firmware already in it.

OK. It took me awhile to type this all out but here is the satellite list as shipped with the 8/11 software. You will notice there are a couple of mistakes which i will point out to the engineer at Pansat to fix for the next release. The 3 issues i found are noted. Otherwise this is a great sat list, everything is there that i can see. Starts with Ku, then goes on to C Band. 97 sats programmed into the box. I checked the TP info on a few, looks good, up to date.

Pansat 9500 HDX LNB Options This is the LNB options you have from the drop down menu from the 8/11 software. 5150 5750 5950 9750 10000 10050 10450 10600 10700 10750 11250 11300 5150-5750 5750-5150 Universal (9750-10550) Universal (9750-10600) Universal (9750-10700) Universal (9750-10750) Unicable (9750-10600) Unicable (10200) Single Stack (10750-10175) I am going to ask Pansat to add LNB settings 5150/10750, and 5150/10600. This will allow users with the combination C/KU Standard and Universal LNB's to blind scan both C and Ku with one scan instead of having to do 2 seperate scans.

Single Stack (10750-10175) I hope more manufacturers add this. I'm using one of those old Star Choice bandstacked LNBFs on my dish, ATM. Will replace it, soon, but would like to use it in a future project...

I have hooked the composite output (yellow video, red and white audio) to a analog adapter that put out a signal on channel 3 or 4 analog and the video plays fine and in color. Also have the video setting on the Pansat at 1080i and also hooked to my HD TV at the same time both TVs play great.

Good evening,
Received my Pansat 9500HDX yesterday from Hypermegasat - outstanding service and a fantastic price, BIG THANKS TO YOU!!! Setup up was very easy, and I was happy to finally have a unit with a real time clock and skew control for my BUD system. Although I haven't had this unit for very long, I'm very impressed with it over my Openbox S9.
Not sure as to why this is, but the picture quality is way better than my old unit. Blind scanning is a little slow, but I'm not going anywhere and whats the rush is my view! So far, I'm a very satisfied FTA hobbyist and look forward to years of enjoyment with this unit.
Have a great day all,
Randy
