This receiver works great. It took about 3 min to scan Galaxy 19 at 97W. Great picture. I don't see how spending more money could produce a better picture. It changes channels very fast. It only receives DVB-S so it is perfect for Galaxy 19 Ku band. If anyone was afraid to try this receiver, I can tell you it works very well. Now I hope it lasts a long time. I paid $35 and that included the shipping. It does not record and it does not have any button that shows upcoming programing on a channel. I heard that this was available on some receivers. I miss not being able to see upcoming programing. Other than that it is great for low budget satellite TV, especially Galaxy 19.

Not AC3 capable! try 87w and see if you can watch all the channels there with it?

I am new to all this. This is my first receiver. I bought it because it was cheap hoping it would work on Galaxy 19. I set up a 36 inch dish less than a week ago and everything worked. I know this receiver will not work on some satellites.

Hey logically, welcome.
I have a question on the receiver you purchased. I looked it up and really
for a cheaper line receiver it does not look to be all that bad. My question
is on the audio. I see it does not decode ac3. My question is, does it offer
a digital port to connect to an external ac3 decoder? I am guessing it does
not, as it is not mentioned in what info I can find about the receiver. Just
want to know for sure. Would make a nice box to drag around to dish
locations for tweaking etc. Thanks

1 AZbox premium, 3 openbox's, 1 linkbox8000, 1 pansat9500, 1 pansat9200 and way to many old coolsat 7100's 6000's 5000's etc to count along with a few old viewsat, viewsonic, pansats and analog stb's. Currently have four six foot cband dishes. 1 nine foot paraclipse c/k band. 1 four foot cband. 1 36 inch prime focus kband and 1 36 inch offset kband along with several converted old paytv dishes.

Good to hear you got what all you wanted! in your case there wouldn't be any reason to spend any more money, [I dont blame you i wouldn't waste anymore money on anything i didn't want] enjoy your new system, and welcome to FTA.

To answer Satman 5000
It has exactly 4 out ports that use RCA jacks. They are labeled Video, R Audio, L Audio, and NC. I have 3 in use with the color coded Red, Yellow, and White connected to my TV. I am not using the NC. I don't know what NC stands for.

Thanks for the fast reply. No idea what the nc would stand for. Most of the time the digital port is marked. Some receivers use an rca jack for a coaxial digital connection. Any way thanks for the reply. For 35 dollars, may just get one to play with.  |

$35 is a good price for an FTA Receiver. I talk to alot of people who only want to view Galaxy 19. So any receiver that will do DVB-S like this Junuo for $35 is a great deal for those folks.  |

Yep,been checking this one out.Thinking of installing Gal 19 setups around here.Got the dishes/few poles.And since G19 is strong,prob can use Original PS LNB's.Think there's money to be made in selling G19 Packages set up/ready to view.Be NICE to make some extra Cash doing something you LOVE doing.  |
