Just FYI for whatever it is worth..... That receiver uses the same brand chip set as the Manhattan 1978. Just tossing that out there.

Edited to fix any missunderstanding..... Added the word "Brand" so people wouldn't get confused.

Does the Manhattan 1978 have the same bugs/ video problems as the SX88?
What about the motor controls for the Manhattan 1978? Same problems/issues as the SX88?

Would be nice to see a proper review of the Manhattan 1978. It seems no one has bothered to do that.

Video hiccuping and the motor controls. There is a problem with a few that don't have some kind of filter in front of the ir sensor that allows interference, but to the best of my knowledge that is being dealt with as they pop up. Not everyone has competing remotes. If I remember correctly, those were the first units? Been over a year.... minds not as it used to be... But I think that's the deal.

GX 6622 is in the 78. All I was referring to was the GX brand of chips for crying out loud. Excuse me for not being specific.
