My son Evan, taken from his family and friends on March 26, 2010 at the age of 15. We love you and miss you Evan. We will see you again soon in heaven. I miss you son. You were the best son a dad could have. I am so proud of you. Save a place for me.

The Edision MIO should be a great receiver, and it is nice to see it being sold here. Some places in Europe have labeled this first batch of receivers as samples which is OK and should not be a concern. I purchased one From Titanium, and must say it is nice to get a product like this locally instead of searching Europe for it.

I have been working with people that help develop Edison products, and I have been very happy with the Support Edision has given to this part of the world. Edision has been great to add things such as ATSC devices and TBS 5925 usb card. Edision has also taken interest in producing a decent blindscan, and has twice dropped the symbol rate for its receivers that blindscan from 2000 Sr to 1000 SR Per Request. The OS MIO blindscans 1000SR to at least 45000SR. A 60,000SR maximum for blindscan has been requested for the MIO since the tuner is capable of that.

The MIO receiver is expandable by using usb tuners, and should already support ATSC Hauppauge 850,950, 955, and the  Sundtek ATSC device. Seamless & Automatic switching between two separate terrestrial antennas is possible when a combination of Sundtek and Hauppauge ATSC devices are used.

DVB-S2 usb tuner TBS 5925 should also be supported along with a few other DVB-S2 usb tuners. It should be noted that the TBS 5925 will not blindscan like it does in Windows when connected to enigma2 receivers.

The Edision MIO does seem to have a problem playing a radio mux at 91W Ku, plus some of the three thousand radio entries that can be found on 105 West C band. This problem was studied intensely by an image group that works with Edision a couple of days ago. It was decided that this radio issue could not be fixed in the image itself, so the information about this issue has been forwarded to the Developer. I am pretty certain that this can and will be fixed because these radio channels play in the Edision OS Mini receiver. We will see...

Enigma2 support and initial setup support is available for this receiver.
Enigma2 receivers have a lot of options which does require several menus. But a lot of these menus can be easily hidden or avoided to make it easier for a first time user. Antenna setup is similar to any other fta receiver.

The level of customization for enigma2 receivers is very high.
Drivers are Closed Source and cannot be altered. But most everything else in enigma2 is controlled by python files which are easy to alter. Attached are the blindscan results of 105 West C band that are in .xml format. This attachment is automatically generated by the receiver at the end of the scan. The python code that makes this .xml file was added by me and is not normally available in any image.

Again, Thanks to Titanium for making a product like this available, & I hope everyone has a Happy New Year! EB

Is this the same Edision that is in the old Cisco buildings by Hwy 237 in Santa clara/ Palo Alto California?  I noticed the name change a little over 2 years ago.  Jess out in Fresno, California

Edision is located in Greece or Europe, so I doubt they want or need any office space in the United States. You can stop and ask to be sure.
Website for Edision is in the link. They sell a Lot of different things.

Those buildings are being used by "Erickson" not Edision!  Sorry about that.  Jess out in California

Not a problem Jess.
I would also say that The Edision MIO and some other enigma2 receivers have a pidscan feature that is available through telnet. This feature will allow you to find some pids that are hidden. The pids may be used once they are found. Here is an example of a receiver capturing the roughly 100 audio pids on the 12145v transponder at 103W Ku. These audio pids are not found in the receiver scan or search, but are found in the pidscan.

Code:
root@si:~# telnet 10.42.0.85
Trying 10.42.0.85...
Connected to 10.42.0.85.

I have the MIO Installed now, and a 16APSK transponder with channels was one of the first blindscans. This is the Cotton Bowl and may be useful to some that want to watch. Details are in the attached file or see the scan video in the link. The 16 APSK transponder should be up a while as the game has yet to start.

Just got mine today and not happy with it at all. Powers up goes through boot screen displays for a second and goes back to booting where it sticks at boot. Does not respond to remote at all. Going to be in a worse mood if I have to send it back.....who gives support?
