Here is a list of FTA Receivers and the Update Cables used both Null and Straight.

PLUS a list of receivers with USB Update support!

I built this list because I found it very useful for reference.

Keep in mind this list is the cable used for updates. You may need the other cable to clone/slave a receiver.

If anybody knows of others not on the list please reply here and we can add it to the list.

Scroll to the bottom for a list of receivers with USB or SD card support!

Here is a point of confusion , My Fortec Star lifetime Ultra calls for a strait cable for Up-loading from the computer but shows a Null cable for Cloning STBs
Looks like some folks need both . Still having no luck Cloning My STB

You are correct on that. Many models including your Fortec use one type for updating, and the other for cloning.

We will need to revise to list to reflect that. The list right now is for updating, not cloning.

Thanks for pointing that out, its good information and ill get to work on a new improved list soon.
