Hyper, I want to use a 5x4 multiswitch to connect 2 sats to 3 or 4 receivers.  My question is:  How do I setup to tell the receiver which satellite to look at?  I don't see a diagram for this configuration.  Any help?  El_Viejo

P.S.  I think the lnbs supplied with the system are universal.  This is going to be a setup for my son.

DS322 2x1 DUAL DiSEqC Switch.

It allows you to connect 2 receivers to 2 fixed satellite dishes and get both satellites and both polarities on either receiver at any time and both receivers at the same time!

You must have dual output LNB's for this to work.

See diagram

How would I setup a motor ku and motor c-band (1.2m dish)? Would I run it through a 22khz switch? If so, what would the setting be in the lnb/motor setup? Thanks for the time. Love all the pic's of different setups!

allgoing to a 4x1 to an openbox.I want to add more sats to the dish parked on 101 with the bracket i have and can receive them but need a diagram to hook all of it up. total of 5 lnbfs including the c band. i have 3 4x1 switches laying around. can i use them to hook the extras on ? port 2 im using for cband, and if i use a 4x1 at the dish with multiple lnbfs can iuse them

Focalpoint62, here is one possibility.  Put C band and 97 on the same 4X1, add 101 and your 2 new lnbs to another 4X1 and select between the two switches with a 0/22 kHz switch.  Rx settings would be:  C-band, diseqc-port 1 - 22 khz OFF; 97W, diseqc-port 2 - 22 khz OFF;  Lnb X, diseqc-port 1 - 22 khz ON; 101W, diseqc-port 2 - 22 khz ON; and Lnb Y, diseqc-port 3 - 22 khz ON.  I have attached a rough diagram.   El_Viejo

If all of these are going to one receiver you only need a 8x1 switch!

focalpoint62 here

Yes, all these are going to an openbox s9 i bought off you. Great receiver, very stable. i am using the directv slimline and the converted wildblue and the 6ft dish special for 59 dollars. ,so a total of five lnbfs 4 ku and one c band. I will probably order what i need off you this week, but i have to wait until wed. I receive my check every two weeks since i work for a school. Cry  The lnbfs i bought off you on ebay are great!! im getting about a 76 to 80
on 101w, 78 average with 97w on the wildblue, too.the other sats i have tuned in 107w, 80 . all numbers are quality. Wow good product. I really need to order a couple of 90 cm dishes and put brackets on each dish and have a total of 8 from the ku and 1 from c band. My 10 fter is locked in on srl programming for my wife and boy. Once i get that tuned in on another c band dish, i will get my 10 fter back grin

Thanks El viejo,
for the diagram. I dont have a 0/22khz switch, so i guess i will put this on my list too. alot different than in the days of polarotors, drake receivers, etc. I started out the dishes were 10, 12, etc sectional fiberglass, very heavy and needed over a yard of concrete to properly anchor the pole after we popped holes for the concrete and added bolts extending out of the poles to prevent twisting in a high wind smiley eventually im going to mount all these dishes on the southern side of my garage roof. On the lower part, since they will still receive a clear shot to the sats, while being out of sight. im hopeful i can install 5 90 cm dishes with 3 to 4 lnbfs to cover most of the ku band.
then add another c band lnbf to the 6 fter and tie it all in. will make wife happy when she doesnt have to move dish, and the amount of channels she can watch.I will probably wind up buying two more s9 openboxes too later.

like i said,
thanks for the info ,and the replies

Hyper, he said he had several 4x1 switches, so I was trying to go the most economical route.

Focal, those sound like good numbers for something less than 90 cm dishes.  But, when you have a clear shot, that helps.  I have neighbors trees are my big blockage.  I am limited to about 83W to 129W as I don't have any c-band at this time.  Maybe later.  Like I said, that was one approach to your problem.   El_Viejo

It all began for me with a fixed Hotdish75 on 97W.

Is it possible to install two fixed KU band dishes, each setup with an ESX5421U Mono Block Universal Ku Band LNBF (thus giving a total reception of four satellites - two pairs at four degree separation), and each dish then share a single coax going into the house to a single FTA STB receiver? The desired satellites for the first dish would be 87W and 91W and 97W and 101W on the second dish. I wasn't sure if the receiver could use a 22KHz switch to select the desired Monoblock since the Monoblock uses Universal LNB's. If this is possible, what would the diagram look like?

FTA-MWA. the 22khz has to be on all the time in order to use each lnb in the 10600 L.O. mode. Since normally, a DiSEqC switch in needed for each Mono Block, you could use a single 4x1 DiSEqC switch  located somewhere near the dishes and run just one coax into the STB.  87W going to port 1, 91W going to port 2, 97W going to port 3, and 101W going to port 4, just as an example.  you would have 4 short lines from the mono blocks to the DeSEqC switch, assuming the dishes are close together.  You treat it just like you had 4 standard lnbs, the only difference you have to keep the 22 khz turned on for the 10600 L.O. section of each lnb.  E_V

El_viejo,
I am referring to the Monoblocks that have the built in switch so each Monoblock has a single coaxial output from its two LNBS (meaning two cables instead of four).

I looked at the wrong block.  Since you are using the ESX5421U that Hyper sells, I just checked WSI website and they do need the 22khz tone to keep them on 10.600 ghz.  So you will need to go with something like the Digiwave DGS SW8x1 so you can use both DiSEqC 1.0 (for the lnb) and DiSEqC 1.1 for which block.  There may be another switch that has fewer ports, I am not sure, but the SW8X1 is not all that expensive.  I am using one here with 2 lines coming in from about 7 or 8 lnbs without any problem.  E_V

The ESX5421UAM Adjustable Monoblock LNB is Universal 9750/10600.

My apologies for any confusion.

I don't think you can use this configuration for the OTA antenna such as LAVA 2806 which has amplifier in the control box. Most sat combiner only pass DC on the satellite side not on the antenna side ????
