Here is some pics of the actual product.

I took these myself tonight.

Comes with:

Geosatpro HDVR 3500 FTA IPTV Receiver
AC Adapter Power Supply
Remote and batteries
HDMI Cable
RCA Cable
User Manual

One thing i noticed it has 2 USB Ports (front and back), but it also has a separate screw in type Wifi connection, and comes with the Wifi antenna.

I like that!

Will review this new receiver very soon.

Does this receiver use the ALI chipset or the Novatek chipset?

Thanks

Neither, Its the Hisilicon 3798M.

I'm really curious what Hyper thinks of it when he's done testing

I did a quick Google search for this chipset and I come up with Adroid boxes.

Is this an Android box?

Very interesting.

Since this has Wi-Fi, I wander if it will have a IP based clock function for correct time keeping.

Thanks Aaron for letting us know on the chipset. And sorry folks i have not posted any test results yet. I have had chance to play with the box a bit but i have been super busy the last week or so. My wifes step-dad has been diagnosed with cancer and we have been running back and forth helping and visiting. He has been sent home as of yesterday. He only has days to live. Its very sad.

So anyways, please be patient for another day or two, to give me some more time to test, and to put my thoughts together and write a post.

I am watching the U.S. Open on Fox in HD on G16 99.0W C Band with the Geosatpro HDVR3500 right now as i type. Picture is excellent i have to say. Too bad the golf course looks so crappy!

Anyways, this is a very advanced receiver, a little more advanced than i am used too, so you will all have to give me some time to put it through all the paces and figure out how some of these more advanced features work. This is definitely not you typical Geosatpro receiver. Not a re-done amped up  Micro HD or HDVR1200. This one is totally different than any Geosatpro model before it.

Here are a few screen shot pics i took (with a camera). Sorry the pics are a little fuzzy, its my camera work, not the box! LOL!

Pic 1 shows the menu after power on and boot. As you can see it has XBMC media player installed, as well as IPTV, and i am sure you can load all sorts of custom apps. This is what i mean when i say it is advanced. It is advanced for me amyway. Many of you have probably used other receivers with this tech. I have heard of XBMC but never used it, nor have i used any Linux based receiver before. Time to learn!

Pic 2 shows the settings menu. Here is where you set all the settings as far as time, display, etc.. as well as satellite info. Kind of convenient having it all in one place once you get used to it i assume. You get to this menu by pressing the "Settings" button shown on the bottom RH corner of pic 1.

Pic 3 shows live channel showing RT at that moment, but shows you all the info that can be seen when pressing the "info" button on any given channel. Press "info" a second time and you get all of the apid, vpid, pcr, sid, pmt info.

So there is a quick peak at what the menus and channel screen look like. I will post much more info soon as i learn my way through this box. It looks and works really great so far.
