Can this FTA receiver decode 4:2:2 video feeds like those interesting CBC Canada News feeds on 107W Anik F1/R KU Band and sports feeds on Galaxy17 91W KU Band?

I'm pretty sure it can't do 4:2:2 like the orginal AZ's which are out of production.  The only ones that claim 4:2:2 are the AZ prem+ from China.  I found some more info on this reciever on a "Glorystar" site.It does sound like quiet an all around reciever though.  Jess out in California

OK, to answer the last couple of questions:

The picture quality is excellent in my opinion! But to be totally honest, i have been going back and forth between the Geosat HDVR3500, Linkbox 8000 HD Local, and Geosat Micro HD lately and they all look excellent to me. I get this question all the time, and i can not really tell a difference between any of them.

I will go out on a limb and say it will not do 4:2:2. Like jess73 stated, the only box that will is the old AZ long out of production. By the way, i have been told by an industry expert, these old AZ's were a happy accident, never meant for this market, but found their way to the US by a mistake.

Anyways, i can not back that up, so back to the topic at hand.

Single column satellite and channel list. I like it this way, easy to change channels and just scroll through the different channels lists per satellite by scrolling sideways, very easy. Her is a couple pics (attached).

This is a really great receiver. I think folks will really like it and i know there is a lot of things this box can do that i have not even tried yet, such as XBMC, etc..

I will start posting some Blind Scan tests on the new GEOSATpro HDVR3500 FTA/IPTV Receiver.

Here is the first one, done just tonight.

Galaxy 19 97.0W Ku, 36" Fixed Dish on DiSEqC switch Port 1, same one i always use for testing G19Ku.

This one was really fast, and really accurate! Plus it has a timer running so you know how long the scan takes!

(Only bad thing is the timer keep running after it is done, so you have to pay attention to get the scan time lol.)

Total time:

1:49 (one minute - forty nine seconds)

246 TV

78 Radio

Very impressive!

I just read on another site that this receiver has 64GB of internal flash memory, is this internal memory for DVR/Timeshifting?

The internal 64GB is there for DVR/Time shifting.

The Apps/Firmware/settings are in Nano/flash memory 256 flash/2GB ram

You can also add external USB Memory for additional recording time or to transfer to your pc ect...

Thanks for confirming that aem2k, i guess i was wrong on this.

Nice to have some built in memory for recording/time shifting!

And 64GB is 64 hours of SD or 32 hours of HD recording i believe.

That is a real plus for this box!

I can not get it to work however, i must be doing something wrong, i will email you for help!

Another cool thing i found about this box tonight is the "previous channel" button on the remote.

It lists your last 10 channels viewed for you to select, so it makes it easy to go back when you have been channel surfing.

I do not believe so. I looked all through the scan options and i do not see this. You can manually scan one TP at a time, but i do not see an option to blind scan just vertical or just horizontal.
