LNBF Settings

I am using a BSC621 LNBF on my 10' Unimesh dish, but have never had any luck picking up ku band sats. I decided to try again and did a blind scan on Galaxy 19 @ 97.0, my true south sat. To my amazement, I was able to scan in the ku channels including Tuff and IFilm. The issue that I came across is that my transponder number is over by about 150. Example: Tuff TV in on 11867, but I am receiving it on 12017. The SR and pids are still the same. What type of adjustment do I need to make to the LNBF? It is not picking up other satellites very well, but my C band is great.

Looks like the ku l.o. frequency is not set correctly in the receiver. What setting are you using?

Try 10600 and turn 22KHz tone ON.
Universal setting should also work.

mr.silverado i believe you have the BSC621-2, not the BSC621
The BSC621-2 is Universal on the Ku Band meaning it has a LO of 9750/10600. The BSC621 has a Standard Ku Band which is LO 10750.
With Universal Ku Band LNB's, we dont really use the 9750 part here in North America, so you are scanning these in with the L.O. of 10750, when it should be 10600 which is why you are off 150 on Frequency. 10750-10600 = 150.
So as elbandido said above, set the L.O. Freq to 10600 in the receiver antenna set-up menu, and re-scan after deleting any Ku channels, and you should be right on.

Thank you very much EB and Hyper.
I just went and checked the box that it came in. It is a BSC621-2 like you guys said. I will change my settings.

If you use 10600, 22KHz tone has to be ON.

Thank you.
A little slow here, but this finally clicked. My receiver has an auto setting for each lnb typed, so I would select universal and it would scan 9750/10600. Today I changed the lnb type to standard, manually set the lo freq to 10600, turned 22khz on. Working great with all scanned correctly and faster.
