I think elbandito attached a Galaxy 16_Scans.zip file to another post.

How to you read this type of file?

I can unzip/decompress it and get two dot xml files; how do I open these files?

either firefox or internet explorer will open these type file.

https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

This free program Notepad++ will open it. Do NOT confuse it with the regular Windows Notepad program. It's not the same.

Mike is correct.
The scan logs were designed using notepad++
You can also change the extension from .xml to .txt and they will open with a text editor.
