Nope, I didn't! It was set at the default media/hdd/. Once I changed to media/usb/ then it worked. Thanks.

Good info!  I am recording to a plain old 128GB USB thumb drive and it records perfectly. I've got a few drives here I could use but haven't found my cache of enclosures yet but since it does so well with the thumb drive I don't know if I'll look much harder now LOL

I have Edision Mio+ with TNAP 4.0 (04-29-2021) installed. EPG data leaks from 30W to other satellites so that the EPG information appears, for example, when viewing 103W. I solved this issue once and then foolishly turned EPG data back on. I believe I solved previously by switching off anywhere that EIT or EPG was mentioned. I deleted the epg.dat file and rebooted. But the wrong EPG data continues to appear where it shouldn't. Any hints?

It would be nice to view EPG data when available (such as from 30W, 103W DW and 113W BVN) but it's not worth it if it leaks to other satellites.

I cannot get to 30w to check and test. You may download and install the image in the link. The epg cache files have been changed in it, but I have no idea if it fixes your issue.

Make a complete backup of what you have for an easy restore point before installing this image.

I downloaded the .zip file and unzipped it into 3 files in an osmio4kplus folder. I then put the osmio4kplus folder with 3 files on a USB stick and inserted it in the Mio+. But I am not able to get the Mio+ to boot off the memory stick. When I restart or remove power from the Mio+, it simply restarts and continues playing the TV channel I am tuned to. I tried putting a force/noforce file on the USB stick but this didn't change anything.

Added: I just noticed the problem seems to be fixed! Thanks for the assistance.

That is not correct. Try these steps:

(1) Make a folder named downloaded_images on the usb stick you want to use, then install the zipped multiboot image into the downloaded_images folder.
(2) Insert the usb drive in the receiver and select Flash image from the receiver menus.
(3) Select Downloaded Images and Press the OK remote button.
(4) Highlight the TNAP-4 image, then press the green remote button.
(5) Select the slot you want the image installed in and make sure it has with backup.

Start the flashing process and find something to do for 5-10 minutes. The process is automatic, and does not require any user input. An internet connection is required if you want to restore items that you downloaded such as Plugins or drivers. Towards the end of the Flash, you may be asked if you want to restore the backup settings. You may ignore this unless you want to start with a fresh install.

Also, If this image fixes the EPG issue then I need to know about it so the files can be added to other images. Thanks.

Maybe it was just all the restarts I did that cleared any EPG data out. At this point, I have no EPG problem symptom any longer. So if I follow above procedure then I won't know if it helped. Is there any benefit in doing the above procedure now? I may be able to recreate the EPG problem by switching on EIT/EPG as I originally did.

Added: Symptom is back after one more restart. So I will follow your procedure and report results.

Look on the About page Menu--->Information--->About. You should see today's date as shown in the screencap that is attached.

Things were going good. I actually saw on the About screen today's date. But I had no satellite configurations. So I tried to restore my settings but it reported no backup found. I then tried to restore my lamedb using Dreamset. Current situation is I can't restart the Mio+. I have no communication with my remote control. Even pulling and restoring power has no effect. The Mio+ display says Edision.

I think I must force an image from USB to get anywhere.

The image loading instructions I outlined automatically restore settings and anything you downloaded from the feeds. I have used the same procedure many times, and always end up with the same channel I was watching before flashing the image. You should not have needed to reload any settings.

I am duplicating the procedure we followed last December to install the TNAP 4.0 image via USB. But the Mio+ doesn't appear to be reading the USB memory stick even when I use the force file. Or maybe it is but I can't see anything on the TV display (50 / 60 Hz issue?). The Mio+ front panel never changes from the word Edision. At this point, the box appears dead.

The receiver should accept trhe correct file if the bootloader is intact and the receiver is healthy. You haven't loaded any files that would erase or destroy the bootloader.

What is the Exact image you are trying to load???

I have learned the USB stick must be 2 GB or less. If larger, Mio+ doesn't read it. I'm now progressing toward getting today's image loaded. Things are going well.....
