I fixed the pics in your original post Dan.

You can just attach pics direct to your post, no need for using a url.

Just make sure the pics are not too large.

980 pixels max seems to work good.


And that is some crazy wind that must have snapped that post what about 3-4 inches above the ground?

The post is always weakest at the ground level, where it rusts the most, never seen one snap like that several inches above ground.







FWIW the last pipes I have installed here I have been coating the section below ground and about 4 " above ground with rubberized undercoating. This is something new I just started using but I'm hoping it will be of some help extending the life of galvanized pipe. I purchased a 10 foot section of 2" galvanized pipe a year ago and it was $40 then!  It scares me to think what the going price is currently.

That is a great idea Bass Player 1964. I may do the same next time i bury a pipe for a dish.. Never thought of that.   shocked

Dishes back up on new tower today, but not pointed yet. 5 hours of sweat on the bottom one and 3 hours of sweat on the top one !!
