It all began for me with a fixed Hotdish75 on 97W.

07/27/2021 - My list for N.W. Arkansas using two attic antennas. I have an RCA ANT751 pointed to Faytteville and an Antennas Direct Clearstream 2 pointed north to Joplin, Missouri. I run the two coax cables down the wall into the living room to a double coaxial outlet wall plate. This lets me choose which antenna I want to use (North or South). The short piece of coax from the TV to the wallplate has a push on male coax plug. Being a TV DX'er, I use the North antenna for TV DXing. I love OTA too!

That is a pretty darn good list FTA-NWA! I see some channels there i wish i had in my market like Retro TV, Quest TV, and Action.

But i am surprised you dont get Defy and TruReal. Seems like those are the only ones missing from your list.

My son Evan, taken from his family and friends on March 26, 2010 at the age of 15. We love you and miss you Evan. We will see you again soon in heaven. I miss you son. You were the best son a dad could have. I am so proud of you. Save a place for me.

You CAN receive C-band on a 1.2m dish!

In Halifax, Nova Scotia we can receive 3 OTA HD channels. And that is more than many Canadians. We are too far from the U.S. border to receive any U.S. channels via OTA unlike many border cities in Canada. This is just one reason why FTA satellite is a good supplement to regular TV for those who don't want to pay for dozens of stations they don't watch via the pay cable or satellite models.

3-1: CBC (UHF 32 720p)
5-1: CTV (UHF 15 1081i)
8-1: Global (VHF 8 1080i)

I use a Clearstream 2V antenna mounted 10 feet high with Channel Master 7777 amplifier to maintain a solid picture for each channel virtually 24/7. The distance to the transmitters is only 14 miles but without the amplifier I can get dropouts at certain times of the day in some weather.

At a location in Japan where we also live, we receive the 8 national TV OTA channels including NHK General and NHK Educational. That's 8 channels in greater Tokyo with a population of 37,000,000+ people. There are many other channels available via pay satellite (50 or 60 cm dish) or cable distribution systems. How many TV channels does one need?
